Jacques & Danièle Ruelland

Jacques (1926-2008) and Dani Ruelland (1933-2010), prominent French ceramists of the 1950s, embarked on their artistic journey in 1952, inspired by Picasso, Madoura, Capron, and Picault. Their collaboration saw Dani shaping forms while Jacques adorned them with intricate designs. Using their unique dark clay and handcrafted enamels, they produced functional and decorative pieces characterized by asymmetrical designs and evolving finishes. Despite halting production in 1991, their timeless creations remain coveted by collectors worldwide, reflecting their enduring legacy in ceramic art.
