Pierre Dedieu (1928-2013)

Pierre Dedieu (1928-2013) was a French sculptor known for his rare and sincere woodwork. Trained in fine furniture restoration, his craftsmanship and fascination with abstract forms led him to exhibit in the 1950s, earning praise for his mastery of wood. Employed at the Paris Observatory from 1965, his personal creations featured a surreal, colorful humanity.
